Further to the scalding injury to my right hand;
It happened on Sunday the 6th of September when I managed to tip approximately 1 litre of boiling water, from the base unit of a vegetable steamer across my right hand.
Apart from the immediate first aid of cold water, I kept the hand wrapped for the next week and covered with honey from one of my West London colonies.
Whilst this kept the injury moist and dealt with any bacteria, there was the practical problem of the honey becoming diluted by moisture, and seeping from underneath the dressings. A plastic glove dealt with this problem.
By Suturday the 12th , as picture, the layers of skin were going, very swollen and radiating heat. After purchasing the Olive Oil cream off you on Sunday the 13th. applying liberally and dressed, maybe 24 hours later a marked difference and improvement, as Monday the 14-09 shows.
The swelling & heat were rapidly dissipating as with the top (now moisturized?) dead layers of skin.
Applying liberally, by Thursday 3 days later, further marked improvements.
For the last week, viewing the injury as largely recovered, I have only applied your Olive Oil Cream intermittently; I haven?t yet managed to use 1/3 of the jar.
Finally, as a long term beekeeper (30 yrs) in West London I have long used honey for burns and skin injuries etc.
Your Olive Oil Cream is clearly a huge improvement; the beeswax and propolis (further anti-biotic qualities and also contains resins & balsam, beeswax, aromatic oils, pollen phenolic acid and minerals) are logically additions.
Thank You!
