FAQ
Is 0.3% acidity a good level for olive oil?

Yes, it is. A lower acidity generally signals a higher quality extra virgin olive oil, and 0.3%? That is considered excellent.

What does "cold extracted" actually mean, though?

Well, it means the oil was produced at strictly controlled low temperatures, we are talking ≤ 27°C, and that is done to protect the flavour, the aroma, plus those good for you natural compounds. It is important.

And why might it taste slightly bitter, maybe even a bit peppery?

That actually a pretty good sign, indicating an early harvest and real freshness. Those bitter and spicy notes? Those are pretty typical of a really premium Koroneiki olive oil. You want that!

Am I right thinking this olive oil is 100% organic?

Yes, that is correct, it comes from certified organic olive trees, so yes.

What kind of foods does it goes best with in cooking?

It is great with salads, grilled fish, roasted vegetables of course, bread for dipping, pasta dishes, and for finishing off soups nicely. A really versatile oil.
